About CIPK Nairobi
The Council of Imams and Preachers of Kenya (CIPK), Nairobi Chapter, is a respected and dedicated organization formed by Muslim scholars in Kenya. Our mission is to serve the people by promoting Islamic values of peace, compassion, and service. We engage in a wide range of activities, including community counseling, HIV awareness, de-radicalization, and guiding individuals—particularly the youth—toward a path of productive citizenship and spiritual excellence.
As a non-profit organization, we are deeply committed to addressing the most pressing challenges faced by the Muslim community in Kenya. However, to expand our reach and ensure the sustainability of our efforts, we seek financial and logistical support from local, national, and international donors. This proposal outlines our core activities and funding needs to ensure our continued success in transforming lives and uplifting communities.
The work of CIPK Nairobi Chapter is essential for fostering unity, peace, and resilience within the Muslim community and beyond. However, to continue this vital work and reach more people, we need the support of organizations and individuals committed to positive change. Together, we can empower people to lead better, more fulfilling lives, and prevent the spread of harmful ideologies that threaten the fabric of our society. Your support will help us expand our efforts, bring hope to those in need, and strengthen the moral and spiritual fabric of our nation.
Since our inception, CIPK Nairobi has been at the forefront of promoting Islamic values and community development across Nairobi and beyond. We focus on multiple areas of critical importance to society, particularly to marginalized communities.

We work with local schools, mosques, and health institutions to spread awareness and remove the stigma associated with the disease.

To intensify our efforts in HIV/AIDS education, particularly in rural areas and urban slums where the disease is prevalent and stigma is high. We aim to reach more schools, mosques, and community centers to raise awareness.
Strengthening our existing deradicalization programs to prevent the spread of extremist ideologies among the youth. We plan to collaborate more with security agencies, religious leaders, and community organizations to implement sustainable counter-radicalization initiatives.
To expand our counseling services to include a broader range of issues, such as mental health, substance abuse, and family conflicts. We plan to offer professional training to our counselors and equip them with the tools needed to address complex issues within the community.
